Blair, Christine Gale (4 APR 1970)

The First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, decorated with stephanotis, roses and carnations, was the scene of the marriage of Christine Gale Blair and Michael Anthony Gust, both of Hammond, Indiana.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blaire, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gust of Ironwood, Michigan.

The three p.m. ceremony April 4, 1970 was performed by the Rev. Lee Holmes. Music during the ceremony was provided on the organ by Mrs. Eugene Strathman and Mrs. Orville Barkow. "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love" was sung by Clarence Barkow.

Maid of honor for her sister was Carol Blair of Abbotsford. The best man was Paul Niemsyk of Hammond, Indiana. Other attendants were Mrs. Shirley Kislow, Chicago, a friend of the bride, and Keith A. Kers of Milwaukee.

The bride's gown of angel silk organza was decorated with Chantilly lace and seed pearls.

Her matching headpiece was trimmed with seed pearls and silk tulle. She carried white orchids with white stephanotis and ivy.

The lilac gowns of the bridesmaids were of silk linen trimmed with white lace and green satin ribbons, with matching headpieces. They carried crescent shaped bouquets of yellow carnations with baby white roses.

A dinner in the church parlors and a reception and dance at the Abbotsford City Hall followed the ceremony.

Out of town guests present came from Chicago, Hammond, Indiana, Ironwood, Michigan, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Marshfield, Spencer, Medford, West Allis and Wausau.

A 1964 graduate of St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood, the groom also attended Gogebic Community College, Ironwood, and is employed as a mechanic. He will be a full time student in the fall of 1970.

The bride graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1965 and North Central Technical Institute in 1967. She has been a secretary of R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company in Chicago.

The newlyweds will be making their home at 407-3600 Shiffeld Avenue in Hammond, Indiana.
