Miller, Christine (4 APR 1970)
Miss Christine Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Miller Jr., Unity (Clark
Co., Wis.), was married to James Thieme, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Thieme of
Colby, on Saturday, April 4, 1970.
Pastor Robert Sutherland performed the ceremony at the Trinity Lutheran Church
in Unity. Organ music was provided by Myrl Messer.
The bride, given by her father, was attired in an eggshell white gown of Karate
and Venetian lace. Her bridal veiling, designed by he Grandmother Pribnow, was
held by a headpiece which was her mother's.
The bride carried white glomelias and ivy.
Maid of honor was Marry Miller of Bloomington, Minnesota. Gerrie Bower, Madison,
and Sue Jurgens of Bloomington, Minnesota, were the bridesmaids. Their aqua
gowns with empire waistlines were of white flocked organdy. They carried
bouquets of daisies.
The best man for the groom was Stan Brehm, Stevens Point. The groomsmen were
Brent Bower, Madison, and Rick Brehm, Colby. Performing the ushering duties were
David Winkler and Donald Nelson.
Following the ceremony, festivities, including a reception, dinner, and dancing,
were held at the Unity Memorial Hall.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Colby High School. He is employed at
Pathfinder Mobile Homes in Spencer. The bride is employed at the Colby public
schools.
