Theodore Kulas, 38, route 1, Abbotsford, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Friday, April 10, at 11:30 p.m.
The body lay in state at Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, where Wt. Bernard's Catholic Ladies' Altar Society held a rosary service Sunday evening.
On Monday evening military rites were conducted at 7:30, followed by a rosary service by St. Bernard's congregation.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating. Interment followed in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers. They were Dale Dassow, Lester Dassow Jr., Daryl Kulas, David Kulas Jr., Gary Kulas and James Kunze.
Theodore Kulas was born in the town of Johnson April 6, 1932, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kulas.
He attended Athens schools. His marriage to Estella Kunze tok place at Colby June 9, 1951. He entered the service in the Korean conflict in 1952. Mr. Kulas was employed at a cheese factory at Milan for a time, and for Francis Melvin Redimix, Abbotsford, and Ray Wagner Trucking at Owen.
They lived at their present place in the town of Colby(Clark Co., Wis.) for the past five years.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Edward, Catherine, Jacqueline and Vicky, all at home.
He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kulas of Athens, three brothers, Sylvester Kulas of Abbotsford, David and Ambrose Kulas, and a sister, Mrs. Lester (Christine) Dassow, all of Athens.
