Blodgett, Laura (24 JAN 1895 – 1 APR 1970)
Mrs. Laura Blodgett, 75, of Summerville, New Jersey, formerly of the Curtiss and Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) communities, died April 1, 1970.
The body lay in state at Hoeper & Kraut Funeral Home at Owen. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, with the Rev. Roger Tellock officiating.
The pallbearers for the interment, made in the church cemetery, were Chet Knight, Joseph Hiebsch, Harry Kopp, Cornell Erickson, John Lokken, and Art Thompson.
Mrs. Blodgett was born January 24, 1895 at Elk Mound, Wisconsin. She was married to Joseph Blodgett at Eau Claire on March 24, 1915. They lived in the Elk Mound area until 1930, when they moved to Curtiss, where they farmed. Mr. Blodgett died in 1937, and the following year the family moved to Abbotsford. In 1947 Mrs. Blodgett moved to Summerville, New Jersey.
She is survived by four sons and four daughters, Curtiss and Dixon Blodgett of Summerville, New Jersey, Wayne and Charles Blodgett and Mrs. William (Maybelle) Reasoner of Flemington, New Jersey, Mrs. Leroy (Hazel) Smith of Sergeantsville, New Jersey, and Mrs. William T. (Ilene) Maki and Mrs. Floyd (Phyllis) Bowen of Owen, Wisconsin.
There are 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters also survive.
