Skogstad, Linda M. (Day) (31 OCT 1950 - 22 FEB 2019)
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Linda M. Skogstad, who passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, Feb. 22, 2019, at the Ladysmith Nursing Home, reaching the age of 68 years, 3 months and 22 days. Linda had been a resident of the nursing home since September of 2017.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1950 in Washburn, the daughter of Clarence and Almeda Day. She had an older brother, Richard, and one younger brother, Edward. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Harold Skogstad on Oct. 17, 1970. Together, they had three children, Tim Paul Skogstad, Harold Paul Skogstad Jr. and Jason Scott Skogstad.
Linda was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness and looked forward to the day she would see the Bible's promise of the resurrection hope fulfilled, to be reunited with her loved ones. Linda loved spending time with her family, whether it was cooking for them, camping, or playing games with them. She loved nature, especially hummingbirds. She would spend hours making food for the birds and then sit and watch them for hours.
Linda will be missed by her sons, Harold (Jessica) Skogstad Jr. of Conrath and Jason (Melissa) Skogstad of Ladysmith; her mother, Almeda Day of Goodman and her brothers, Richard (Bev) Day of Lake Geneva and Edward (Debbie) Day of Kingsford.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandee, Shannon, Bowen, Cody, Dustin, Lizzy, Justin (Becky), Morgan, Dylan and Taylor and her great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Oliver, Ashlynn, Ava and Easton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Day; her husband, Harold; her son, Tim Skogstad and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Lucille Skogstad.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, W7933 E. Edgewood Ave., Ladysmith WI 54848. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the hall. A small lunch will be held at 719 Menasha Ave. E, Ladysmith, after the service, for friends and family.
