Lange, Donna M. (20 DEC 1969)
Donna M. Lange of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mrs. Jeanette Lange
of Abbotsford, became the bride of Robert J. Gerlack of Sussex, Wisconsin, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gerlack, Stevens Point, in an 11:30 a.m. ceremony
Saturday, December 20, 1969, at the United Church of Christ, Brown Deer,
Wisconsin.
The Rev. Paul Gia Russow officiated, and the organist was Ron Simpson.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, William Lange. Her attendants
were Miss Barbara Lange, a sister, as maid of honor, and Miss Susie Mondlock, a
cousin of the groom from Wauwatosa, as a bridesmaid.
Thomas T. Gerlack, a brother of the groom, was the best man. Paul Fischer, Brown
Deer, a friend of the groom, was the groomsman.
The bride appeared in a wedding gown of white floral lace bodice and long
sleeves with pearls at the neck and cuffs. It also featured a podesau skirt and
train with spaced flowers centered with pearls. She wore an elbow length petal
headpiece with lace inlay, trimmed with rhinestone edges.
Her flowers were white rosess with lilies of the valley and gold bulbs inset in
the arrangement.
Over 100 guests attended the reception and dinner at Alpine Village at Mequon
after the ceremony. Guests were from Milwaukee, Abbotsford, Stetsonville,
Sussex, Colby, Brown Deer, Waldo, Greendale, Janesville, Fox Point, Brookfield,
Germantown, Cedarburg, Grafton, Freeport, Illinois, and Gary, Indiana.
Larry Schmidt of Milwaukee played music during the reception and dinner.
Prior to the wedding, a shower was given on December 7 by the maid of honor and
the bridesmaid.
Both the bride and groom are students at Wisconsin State University, Stevens
Point. Their wedding trip was to southern Wisconsin, and thee Lakelawn Lodge at
Delavan.
They will reside temporarily in Sussex. In September 1970 they plan to return to
school at Stevens Point.
