Mrs. Magdalena "Lena" Truchinksi, 85, a Neillsville-area resident, died
Saturday at Neillsville Memorial Home where she had resided since January
24, 1979.


The funeral will be Tuesday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel. The Rev. Dale
H. Trimberger, Lutheran chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital, is to
officiate.

Burial will be at West Spencer Cemetery, town of Sherman, Clark
County. Donald and Grant Fisher, Jerry Lohmeier, Bill Lapp, Dick
Penticoss and Dennis Bird are to serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Truchinski was born September 29, 1894 in the town of Spencer,
Clark County, to Mr. and Mrs, George (Ann Stahley) Fisher. She attended
schools there.

Her first marriage was in 1914 to William Lucht. He worked as a
cheesemaker and the couple lived in Clark and Wood counties. He died May
29, 1934 and in January 1938 she and William Truchinski were married.
The couple farmed at Pittsville until 1957, then resided at Cable for
two years, Janesville for three years, and Hayward five years before
moving to Route 2, Neillsville in 1968.

After Mr. Truchinski's death on May 9, 1977, Mrs. Truchinski resided
with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lucht, Route 1
Merrillan, until entering the nursing home.

Besides her son, Bernard, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur
(Lucille) Johnson, Bandera, Texas; a son, Berdell Lucht, Davis,
Illinois; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother,
Herman Fisher, Milwaukee. Five brothers and a sister are deceased.
