Mashuda, Joseph Larry (1945? - 12 FEB 2019)

Joseph Larry Mashuda, 74, of La Crosse, formerly of the Kenosha area, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 at his home.

Joseph was born in Hawkins to Tony and Sophie (Masloski) Mashuda. He married Bonnie R. Helfe and they enjoyed 45 years and 10 months of happy life together.

Joseph lived in Kenosha from 1955 until 2004. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in 1962 and was known as Larry there. He spent five years working at American Motors in Kenosha and then went on to work 32 and one-half years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Kenosha for Route 49. He worked two years at the Kenosha Country Club and then three years setting up pins at Hub Bowling Alleys where he got paid 10 cents a game.

Joe was an outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed deer and partridge hunting and the peacefulness of the water while fishing. He spent 20 years at Silver Lake Trap Shooting League from 1974 to 1994.

Joseph is survived by his son, Greg Mashuda of Taylor and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie; his son, Stephen; his parents and his brother, Teddy.

Following Joe’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held. He wanted everyone to know he lived a good and happy life, good bye.

Coulee Region Cremation Group, Onalaska has been entrusted with arrangements.
