Petersen, Marjorie (20 APR 1974)

Miss Marjorie Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petersen, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to Robert Oryszczyn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oryszczyn, also of route 1, Withee, during a 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday, April 20, 1974.

The Rev. Louie Junich of the Russian Orthodox Church officiated at the rites.

For her day, the bride selected a Victorian gown of satin and Chantilly lace with a long train. A shoulder length veil and a bouquet of pink roses completed the ensemble.

Miss Ellen Smith, Thorp, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Carol Oryszczyn, Neillsville, and Karen Uvelnett (?), Withee, were bridesmaids. The attendants appeared in pink, blue and yellow empire gowns. The bridesmaid carried baskets full of daisies and the maid of honor carried one filled with pink roses.

Dan Peleschek served as best man, and Rich Losienowicz and Keven Petersen were groomsmen. Allen Petersen seated the guests for the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Quonset Hall.

The new Mrs. Oryszczyn completed high school in 1970, and graduate from the Eau Claire Technical Institute in 1971. She has been employed at ITT, Thorp. Her husband completed Thorp High School in 1968, and attended the Eau Claire Technical Institute until 1970. He is an industrial painter for John Keller in Willard.
