Otto Albert Paul (1 Dec 1907 - 18 Apr 1999)
Otto Albert Paul, 91, Phillips, formerly of Owen, died April 18, 1999, at
Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. Otto had resided at the Pleasant View Nursing
Home in Phillips for almost two years.
Funeral services were held April 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home in
Owen, with Rev. Tom Myhre presiding. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in
Withee. Pallbearers were Gary Hamm, James Larson, Richard Sorenson, Ron Hoffman,
Roger Hargot and Keith Paul.
Otto Paul was born on December 1, 1907, in Valers, the son of Robert and Marie (Brehmer)
Paul. As a young man he received his education at the former Park School in the
Town of Hoard and then helped his parents on the family farm. He worked in
construction and logging, and for 50 years, Otto and his brother Ray owned and
operated Paul Brothers in Owen, retiring in 1978. Otto enjoyed hunting, fishing
and trapping in his younger days.
He is survived by three brothers, Arthur Paul of Owen, Ray Paul of Phillips and
Wilmer (Alice) Paul of Curtiss and one sister Lila Edwards of Arpin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norman Paul and Elmer
Paul, and one sister, Lorraine Kurtzheim.
