Fritz, Robert A. (1 JAN 1950 - 22 JAN 2019)

Robert A. Fritz, 69, Lublin, died on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 surrounded by his family at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Robert was born on Jan. 1, 1950 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Virgil and Malinda (Henninger) Fritz. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the former Tower Automotive, Inc. in Milwaukee. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, throwing horseshoes and in the past decade, he restored old tractors.

Robert is survived by two sons, Grady (Lisa) Fritz of Johnson Creek and Destry Fritz of Delavan; his ex-wife, Elaine Fritz of Fort Atkinson; four grandchildren, Brittney, Brooklyn, Gavin and Gage; one brother, Eugene (Marilyn) Fritz of New Madison, Ohio; and his fiancée, Amy Dircks of Lublin.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley, Linda and Pat.
Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Peterson/Kramer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
