Elveria Marie Lehman, 81, of Wausau, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She worked for area families, caring for their children until her employment at Marathon Battery. After the closure of Marathon Battery she cleaned at the Wanserski Dental office until her retirement.

Vera enjoyed doing crafts, especially making holiday ornaments and refrigerator magnets, which she enjoyed sharing with others. She was an exceptional cook and baker and was known for her lasagna and chocolate torte. She enjoyed working with flowers and plants, but her biggest joy was helping and caring for others. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She took great pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren.

Vera is survived by her husband Bernard of Wausau, son; Randy (Lynette) Lehman of Wausau, daughter; Brenda (Dan) Goetsch of Prior Lake, MN, three grandchildren; Ben Lehman, Liz Goetsch and Sam Goetsch, two brothers; Willy (Jean) Zahrt and Herbie Zahrt both of Wausau, five sisters; Milly Totsch, Wausau, Addie Shelton, Safford, AZ, Lillian Engebrecht, Marion Zahrt and Ellie (Eddie) Martin all of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Marvin Zahrt, Willard Zahrt and Leonard Zahrt and a sister Juanita Zahrt.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 709 6th St, Wausau, with entombment at Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
