Allan E. Krahn, son of Mrs. Alice Krahn, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late E.F. Krahn, was ordained into the Lutheran ministry on August 5, 1973 at 8 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee.

Allan graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1964 and attended Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota for two years. In 1968 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a B.A. degree in Classics. In 1972 he received a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, and then spent a year studying Palestinian Archaeology at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. He is married to Alice Andersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Andersen, Owen.

This summer Allan has been serving at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee during their vacancy, and has now accepted a call to Grace Lutheran Church in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. He will be installed there on August 26.
