Memorial Medical Center Names Neville (CEO – 5 March 2014)



Ryan Neville

Memorial Medical Center (MMC), Neillsville, has promoted Ryan T. Neville from his most recent position with MMC as executive vice president and chief operating officer to president and chief executive officer. Neville’s new role is effective Wednesday, March 5.

Neville has been participating in a very interactive and intensive six-month orientation with Interim CEO David J. Baltzer, who has over 35 years of experience in hospital administration.

“During his orientation, Mr. Neville has been dedicated, hard working and has shown exceptional abilities,” Baltzer said. “I have the utmost confidence in the leadership he will provide to MMC, as it continues to serve Clark County for years to come.”

Neville received his Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Shawnee State University in Ohio. He also has his Masters in business administration from Ohio University.

Neville is board certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Neville is a graduate of the American College of Healthcare Executives Leadership Development Program, and he was named the 2007 Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year.

In his years professionally, Neville served for six years as the director of patient care for Rehabilitation Services at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. In this position he had operational responsibilities that included Rehabilitation Services, Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Primary Stroke Center and the Bariatric Surgical Center of Excellence. He also managed patient satisfaction discharge phone series and oversaw physician management.

Neville is trained in lean Six Sigma and has utilized his Green Belt Certification to improve operational capacities on dozens of strategic healthcare initiatives. He also worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Ohio for decade and served as the director of Rehabilitation Services for the majority of his tenure there.

For years, Neville has made it his personal philosophy to give back to the community.

Neville has served as a board member for Immanuel Lutheran School and is a graduate of Leadership Marshfield. As co-chair for Marshfield Area Heart Walk and United Way, Neville helped to support those most important nonprofit agencies.

Neville is a newly relocated resident of the Neillsville community.

“I am happy to be a part of the community and look forward to giving back, as that is an inherent part of my personal and professional leadership philosophy,” Neville said. “Service comes above self.”
