Bush, Floyd (22 December 1893 – 10 November 1993)

Floyd Bush, 99, Neillsville, died Nov. 10, 1993, at Neillsville Memorial Home.

Je was born Dec. 22, 1893, in Castalia, Iowa, to Orsen and Alma (Harvey) Bush. He received his education in Iowa. After his education, he moved with his parents to a farm in the Alma Center area in 1918. He married Frances Ripp in February 1928 in Winona, Minn.

After his marriage, he and his wife farmed in the Black River area. Then they moved to Neillsville, where he worked for the George Tibbett Ice and Coal business. In 1946, the family moved to a farm north of Neillsville, known as the Old Clark County Farm. Then they moved to Withee, where he lived until he became a resident of Clark County Nursing Home. He later moved to Memorial Home and continued to live there until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, the Rev. Darrell Bush of Milwaukee and the Rev. Charles Bush of Durand; four daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Wava) Larson of Alma Center, Mrs. Delbert (Lavonne) Schnabel of Neillsville, Mrs. Jerry (Lola) Lindgren of Owen and Mrs. Gilbert (Wanda) Erickson of Curtiss; one brother Wayne of Neillsville; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, one son, Dale and one grandson. He was also predeceased by six brothers and five sisters, and five of the 11 died as infants.

Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until service time Friday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Neillsville Assembly of God Church with Floyd’s two sons, Rev. Darrell Bush and Rev. Charles Bush, and also Rev. Douglas Bjerke of the Neillsville Assembly of God Church officiating. A daughter-in-law, Hilda Bush, will be pianist. Burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery. Grandsons and a nephew will serve as pallbearers.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
