Brandl, Scott J. (3 JUL 1964 - 17 NOV 2018)

Scott J. Brandl, 54, of Thorp, passed away Saturday November 17, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday November 24, 2018 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel. Rev. Richard Russow will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home that morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Scott was born July 3, 1964 in Medford, WI to Richard and Phyllis (Moore) Brandl. He is a graduate of Colby High School. He married Tammie Zielinski in 1986, and later divorced. He then married Katherine Powers on April 9, 2010 in Woodstock, IL. Katherine preceded him in death on May 26, 2015.

He is survived by his children: Matt (Enita) Brandl, Tyler (Brittney) Brandl both of Medford, Morgan Brandl of Thorp, 7 Grandchildren, Mother Phyllis (Ed) Faber of Medford, Step Mother Beverly Brandl of Colby, Step Children: Melisa Reynolds of Athens, Steven (Amber) Reynolds of Colby, Sisters: Sharon (Dean) Hommel of Medford, Joyce (John Levins) Brandl of Watertown, and Tonya Brandl of Gilman.

Scott is further preceded in death by his father Richard Brandl and his grandparents.

Scott was a member of the Army National Guard in which he served for 16 years from May of 1982 to February of 1998. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. He was a laborer at Hurd Millwork for 20 years. He then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where he got his CDL. He then went on to work for J. Bauer Trucking and Prochnow Trucking.

Scott had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Memorial donations in honor of Scott can be given to his family, with designation at a later date.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
