Bender, Alice D. (Ritter) (8 MAR 1938 - 17 OCT 2018)

Alice D. Bender, 80, died at her residence in Owen, town of Hixon, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Withee. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alice was born on March 8, 1938 the daughter of Paul and Alice Ritter. Alice and George “Jiggs” Bender were united in marriage on October 22, 1955 in Pine City, Minnesota. They moved to the Owen area in 1954. Alice was a certified nursing assistant at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, for many years.

Alice is survived by her son; Jody Bender of Owen, two grandchildren; Georgia (Joey) Roberts of Withee and Keith (Tonya) Bender of Withee. She is further survived by four great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jiggs on March 12, 1999 and her son; Gregory.
