Przewoznik, Albert G. (15 NOV 1878 – 20 JAN 1972)

Albert G. Przewoznik passed away following a short illness at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on January 20, 1972, having attired the age of 93 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Funeral services were held at Thorp Funeral Chapel on Sunday, January 23, 1972 at 2 p.m., with Pastor E.J. Klut of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, who has been a personal friend of the deceased, officiating. He was assisted by Pastor E. Rasmussen of Marshfield. Chaplain Erick Wrangell of the Marshfield Convalescent Center provided the very beautiful music tributes. He was laid to rest beside his wife in the East Side City Cemetery, Thorp.

Albert Przewoznik was born in Poland on November 15, 1878. He came to the United States in 1902, settling in Chicago, where he owned and operated, in partnership with a longtime friend, Mr. Frank Bellon, the Chicago Dye and Pattern Works for some time.

He was united in marriage to Valerie Furgal in 1905. To this union were born 3 sons: Joseph, who preceded him in death at the age of 12 years, and Frank of Chicago, Illinois and John of Lublin.

In 1921, he made his decision for health reasons, to purchase a farm northwest of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where he farmed until the age of 84. On March 23, 1929, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Wilk Orlowski. To this union were born 2 daughters and one son, Mrs. Marvin (Helen) Anderson, Shelton, Nebraska, Virginia Wincek, Thorp, and Joseph, Dorchester. His wife preceded him in death in 1952. In 1964 he retired from farming and moved to Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.). For the past 2 1/2 years he has resided at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.

Other survivors include one step-son, Edmund Orlowski of Chicago, Illinois; 15 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were his 3 grandsons, James Przewoznik, Chicago, Dennis and Joe Wincek, Thorp, 1 step-grandson, Larry Orlowski, Chicago, and his son-in-law, Marvin Anderson, Shelton, Nebraska.
