Reinke, Walter A. (13 DEC 1910 – 24 JAN 1972)

Walter A. Reinke, 61, passed away January 24, 1972 at Marshfield Hospital suddenly, following pneumonia. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Thorp on Thursday, January 27th at two p.m., with Rev. R.W. Olson officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery., Withee. Organist was Jan Boardman.

Pallbearers were: Leon Salander, Arthur Olson, Roland Boettcher, Ralph Ahles, Ray Stroming and Emil Deutschlander. Honorary pallbearers were the church council of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Walter was born December 13, 1910 at Gillett (Oconto Co., Wis.). He married Esther Beyer May 16, 1931, at Gillett, Wis. He lived at Gillett and a short time at Menasha, then moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1934, and bought the Timothy Bolt Cheese Factory from Ben Beyer, which he operated, and was also distributor for Dolly Madison Dairies until the time of his death.

Surviving are his wife, Esther; one son, Walter E. Reinke, Phillips; three daughters, Mrs. Pierce (Carol) Owens, Loyal, Wis., Mrs. James (Nancy) Henke, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Churkey, Unity; Mother-in-law, Hattie Beyer; one brother, Alfred Reinke, Menasha; one sister, Nora Menne, Gillett; 17 grandchildren, 3 nieces and 10 nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Lee, July 21, 1955, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
