Luke and Stacy Lindner always figured they’d bring their Lindner Excavating business back to Loyal someday. Now that day is here.

A ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 28 marked the official Loyal opening for Lindner Excavating’s brand new almost-12,000 square foot garage/office facility on Highway K leading out of Loyal’s north side. The new building will house the business’ heavy equipment, with maintenance and fabrication areas, a wash bay, and office space.

Luke and Stacy started their business in 2013, after Luke had worked for Braun Concrete and Excavating in Loyal for about 10 years. Luke started the operation with relatives Dennis and Marge Redetzke of Marshfield, who were looking to retire from their Redetzke Construction business. He took over the excavating work, and formed a partnership until he could get into a facility back home.

“Right when we started up, we knew we wanted to come back to Loyal,” Luke said.

He did move a portion of the business to Loyal a few years ago by locating some landscape materials in a corner of the Loyal Industrial park. That was near the lot he eventually purchased for the new building.

Lindner Excavating has various heavy equipment pieces, including bulldozers, excavators and trucks to handle commercial, residential and agricultural excavating projects. They do manure lagoons, waterways, building site preparation, ponds and other types of work. They do jobs within a 100-mile radius of Loyal, with Luke and employee Dave Ehlert handling the equipment operation.
