Olds, Linda Fern (Marriage – 5 April 1975)

The Pittsville United Church of Christ was the setting for the April 5 wedding of Miss Linda Fern Olds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olds of Pittsville, and Robert Allen Wolfe, son of Mrs. Margaret Wolfe. The Rev. Ken Moyer officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception and dinner in the church hall.

The bride appeared in an empire-waist gown fashioned with lace sleeves, a high, ruffled collar and ruffle edged skirt. Her long chapel veil was complimented by a short blusher veil. She carried an arrangement of coral roses and daisies as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Daisy bouquets accented the long-sleeved, high-collared coral gowns worn by the bridal attendants. Miss Cathy Friedrichsen, Milwaukee, was the maid of honor, and Miss Nancy Wolfe, Loyal and Mrs. Shirley Patterson, Wisconsin Rapids, the bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaids were Tracy Domine, Loyal, and Tracy Patterson, Wisconsin Rapids.

Attending the groom were Ronald Wolfe, Loyal, as bestman and Kenneth Knecht, Marshfield, and Gary Olds, Pittsville, as groomsmen. Ushers were James Olds, Berlin, and Tom Wolfe, Sugar Grove, Il.

Mrs. Robert Capling was the organist. “The Lord’s Prayer’ was sung by Mrs. Clifford Randall.

Prenuptial events included a rehearsal dinner at Pine Crest, Pittsville, given by mrs. Margaret Wolfe.

A 1973 graduate of Pittsville High School, the bride is employed in the medical records department of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Her husband, a 1970 graduate of loyal High School, is employed by a Spencer firm. The newlyweds are living in Spencer.
