Schesel, James Joseph (1 OCT 1952 - 4 AUG 2018)

James Joseph Schesel, 65 of Oakdale, MN died unexpectedly on August 4, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 1, 1952 to the late Frank and Wanda (LaMarche) Schesel. Jim was raised in Edson area and graduated from Cadott High.

He went on to serve in the Army as an Honor Guard. Jim went to work at Banner Welding and Atrium Machine Shop in Milwaukee as a tool and die machinist then went to work for Northwest Airlines and the Post Office.

He is survived by his son, Joey (Leslie) Christian of Harrodsburg, KY, 2 grandchildren, Ramsey and Rowan, his longtime friend, Lynn Soridner, his siblings, Frances (Ed) Selz of Loyal, Lois Duval of Cadott, Gordon (Nancy) Schesel of Mahtomedi, MN, Billie Jean (Jim) McCulloch of Danbury, WI, Geraldine Vitt of Collinsville, IL and Janet (Dennis) Thur of Bloomer, one Aunt, Fern LaMarche and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary and brothers, Ken and Harold.

A memorial mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church-Stanley with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart
Cemetery-Edson. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service Friday at the church.

Plombon Funeral Service-Stanley assisted the family.
