Thorne, Phyllis Mae (19 AUG 1972)

The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiated at the nuptial ceremony uniting Miss Phyllis Mae Thorne and Dennis Wilson.

Miss Thorne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd G. Thorne, route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mrs. Sylvia M. Wilson, Owen, on Saturday, August 19, 1972, at two o'clock in the afternoon, at the Owen Congregational Church.

Miss Connie Wagner served as organist.

Attired in a bouffant gown of nylon organza and Chantilly lace, the bride carried a cascade arrangement of yellow roses, white carnations and baby's breath.

Her attendants, Miss Gloria Petke, Withee, maid of honor, Miss Jane Volk of Owen, Miss Delores Thede, Shannon, Illinois, and Mrs. JoAnn Goessl, Withee, the bridesmaids, donned light yellow floral gowns and white straw hats. Each carried a bouquet of multi-colored daisies.

Serving the groom as best man was Richard Wilson, Owen, and Carl Thorne of San Leando, California, Robert Buss, Abbottsford, and Dennis Lulloff, Owen, were the groomsmen, and John Volk, Owen, and Douglas Bottlemy, ushers.

A reception and dance were held that afternoon and evening at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

A 1970 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, the bride is employed at the Owen-Curtiss State Bank, Owen. Her husband is a 1964 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, and works for Liberty Homes, Dorchester.

After a honeymoon trip, the newlyweds will make their home on route 2, Owen.
