Schoch, Richard “Dick” R. (22 FEB 1942 - 4 JUL 2018)

Richard “Dick” R. Schoch, 76 of Boyd, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems surrounded by family.

Dick was born on February 22, 1942 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Ralph and Virginia (Augustine) Schoch. He married Keryl J. Janssen on October 9, 1971 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Boyd, WI. Dick served in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, Dick worked at Hovland Sheet Metal, Sherman Electric and retired from Lang Associates after 21 years.

In 2005, Dick started his own business specializing in electrical engineering until his death.

Over the course of his life, Dick was involved in several governmental organizations; the CVTC board, Stanley-Boyd School board, Chippewa County board and many years as a trustee and President for the Village of Boyd.

Dick is survived by his loving wife Keryl of 46 years, daughters Kelly (Jeff) Licht of Boyd and their children Taylor and Kayte, Shannon (Jason) Hoel of Stanley and their children Lily, Henry
and Charlie, brothers Edward “Bill” (Helene) Schoch of Atlanta, GA, Charles (Barbara) Schoch of Austin, TX, David Schoch of Chippewa Falls, sister Mary (Dennis) Tiller of Eau Claire, sister Kathleen (David) Geist of Chippewa Falls, brother Keith Schoch of Chippewa Falls. Sister-in law Patricia (Eugene) Marthaler of Boyd, brother-in-law Richard (Georgann) Janssen of South Milwaukee, Dennis Janssen (Joe Brogdon) of Gilberts, AZ, sister-in-law Jodie (Jim) Mnikolaicik of Stanley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Virginia Schoch and in-laws Giles and Angeline Janssen, sister-in-law Darlene Schoch, Sharon Janssen, and brother-in-law David Janssen and nephew Christopher Tiller.

There will be a memorial service at 12:00 noon at the Plombon Funeral Home- Stanley on Saturday, July 7, 2018 with Father William Felix officiating. Visitation will be from 10: 30 AM until time of service on Saturday.

The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Health Systems and Father John Schultz for the wonderful care they provided for Richard “Dick” Schoch.
