Rothenburger, Carl George (19 November 1891 – 24 February 1975)

Funeral services were held Thursday from Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant for Carl G. Rothenburger, 83, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, who died February 24 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiated, and burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for Mr. Rothenburger were Melvin Garbisch, Wendell Elmhorst, Ed Hainz, Martin Hillert, Allen Crockett and Leo Pinke.

The congregation sang “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” Mrs. Virginia Karnitz was the organist.
