A very pleasant family reunion was held Sunday August 1, 1971 when 102 family members of the Nichols family gathered at Memorial Park. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buchholz, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Daniels and family, Mrs. Tommy Daniels and son of Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Aubery Maddonis, rural Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Buchholz and family and Mrs. Steve Buchholz of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Maddon and girls, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Karl Buchholz and family of Owen.

Also Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hillmyer, all of Canton, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hanson, Owen' Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Hanson and family, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hanson and 2 sons, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kelly and daughter, Milwaukee
