Nantz, Charmette (18 December 1938 – 10 May 2018)

Charmette Jacobs Nantz, 79, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2018, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

Charmette was born Dec. 18, 1938, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Neillsville, where she was raised by her grandparents and was a graduate in 1956 of Neillsville High School. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she loved to garden. For many years, she taught Sunday school and Bible school in Chicago. Later in life, she had a career in real estate and banking.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, who was the light of her life, Calvin A. Nantz; two daughters: Cheryle Susan Evans (Lawrence Richard) and Andera Lynn Cavallo (Ted Zbiegien); four grandchildren: Alex Paschael Cavallo, Elizabeth Sarah Evans, Joseph Ryan Cavallo and Mitchell Lawrence Cavallo; one brother, Thomas Jacobs; two sisters: Elizabeth Jones and Cielita Blum (Herbert), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial followed in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation began at 11 a.m. Monday morning at the church.

Family members served as pallbearers.
