Gebauer, Myrtle C. (Jarchow) (26 FEB 1921 - 5 MAY 2018)

Myrtle C. Gebauer, of the Town of Greenwood, passed away at her home on Saturday May 5, 2018.

She was born February 26, 1921 in the Town of Greenwood to William and Hannah (Scheithauer) Jarchow. She attended Greenwood School. On October 26, 1940 she married Henry Gebauer at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Henry preceded her in death.

Myrtle is survived by her Children: Bonnie Freeck of Marshfield, Gary (Nancy) and Jim (Joan) both of Rib Lake, 13 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and also many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is further preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Donna Frombach, Infant Son Ronald, Grandson Tom Freeck, Son in Laws: Donald Freeck and Robert Frombach, Siblings: Alvin Jarchow, Clifford Jarchow, Helen Wiegel, Esther Judnic, Ruth Shadrick and Viola Scholz.

Myrtle was employed at the Rib Lake Cheese Factory and Gem Products Shoe Factory. She enjoyed Polka music and dancing, shooting darts at Zondlo’s Ballroom, watching her Children and Grandchildren play baseball and spending time with her family and friends. Myrtle was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday May 11, 2018. Father Otto Bucher will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00.
