Fisher, Henry G. (6 DEC 1887 – 8 AUG 1973)

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 11, 1973 for Henry G. Fisher, 85, Route 1, Spencer. Mr. Fisher passed away August 8, 1973 at the Colonial House of Colby.

Services were held at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Spencer, with the Rev. Bervie A. Scott officiating. Burial took place in the West Spencer Cemetery (Clark Co., Wis.).

Mr. Fisher was born in the Town of Sherman (Clark Co.) December 6, 1887. He received his education at the Veefkind School in the Town of Sherman.

Mr. Fisher farmed and operated a garage in the Spencer area all his life, except for about 16 years in the early '50's, when he was in the mink business in Tripoli.

On September 6, 1919 Mr. Fisher was married to Elda Petznick in Granton. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are four sons, Grant, Route 1, Spencer, Stanley Fisher and Donald Fisher, both of Tripoli, and a foster son, James Mueller, Tomahawk; a brother, Herman Fisher of Tripoli, and one sister, Mrs. Wm. (Lena) Truschinski, Hatfield.

Four brothers and one sister, as well as his parents, the late George G. and Fredricka (Steahel) Fisher, also preceded him in death.

Organist at the funeral services were Mrs. Darrell Roder, with Mrs. Bettye Nall as soloist.

Pallbearers were Dennis Fisher, Bernard Lucht, Bernell Lucht, Allen Heikkinen, Leo Fisher, and Greg Fisher.
