Luraas, Bruce V. (12 MAY 1941 - 20 APR 2018)

Bruce V. Luraas, age 76, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home in the Town of Longwood.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Community Alliance Church in Withee. Pastor Andy Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at the Town of Longwood Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church.

Bruce was born on May 12, 1941, the son Henry and Ruth (Cain) Luraas in the Town of Longwood. He attended school in Neillsville. On June 25, 1960, Bruce was united in marriage to Virginia Galarowciz in Neillsville. Together they farmed for 40 years.

Bruce was a member of Community Alliance Church in Withee. He loved being in the outdoors and was an avid coon hunter, fisherman and trapper. Bruce also golfed weekly rain or shine. He was the father of 2 wonderful sons, beloved husband of 58 years and cherished his family.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Virginia; two sons, Nick Luraas of Abbotsford and Randy Luraas (Tanya Thoney) of Cadott ; four grandchildren: Travis Luraas, Holly Gumz, Tyler Luraas and Kayla Luraas; four great-grandchildren, Korbin Luraas, Trevor Luraas, Corbin Gumz and Bailey Gumz. He is further survived by his brother, Ronald Luraas and his sister, Claudette Reese; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Sue.
