Gille, LouAnn (Lyon) (29 JUL 1961 - 17 APR 2018)

On April 17, 2018, Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ reached out his hand and asked LouAnn to join him in his eternal kingdom.

LouAnn Gille, 56, was born on July 29, 1961 in Wausau, WI to Donald and Ruth (Koepp) Lyon. She is a 1979 graduate of DC Everest High School where she was a proud member of a state qualifying track relay team.

After high school LouAnn joined the Greenheck Fan Corporation team where she worked for more than 30 years. LouAnn also worked at First Impressions dental office.

On April 12, 2003 LouAnn married Steven Gille on Fort Myers Beach at sunset.

Every spring when the snow was finally gone LouAnn would proclaim “its yippie season.” LouAnn cherished her time with her yippie girls, wearing funny hats, grape stuffing contest and crashing weddings, coming home from yippie weekends with sore cheeks from laughing so much and so hard. LouAnn also enjoyed weekends up north with Steve and their friends sitting around the campfire and taking trips on their motorcycle.

She is survived by her husband Steven; daughter Amanda (Mark) Dassow of Medford; son Adam (Heather) Krueger of Rothschild; stepson Benjamin (Kristin) Gille of Wausau; stepson Joshua (Carrie) Gille of Columbia Heights, MN; stepdaughter Erin (Matthew) Hoeft of South Minneapolis, MN. LouAnn leaves behind nine grandchildren that she truly loved and adored.
Her mother Ruth survives as does her brother Lance (Lori) Lyon of Wausau; sister Linda (Todd) Nest of Wausau; sister Lisa Hoekstra of Schofield. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald and sister Laurie Ellis of Newport, VA.

There will be a Memorial Prayer Service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Visitation and gathering will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Prayer Service.
