Fahey, Bette (Koller) (10 JUN 1924 - 25 MAR 2018)
Bette was called to eternal rest on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Stoney River
Memory Care.
Bette was born June 10, 1924, in Auburndale to Louis F. Koller and Mary H.
(Singer) Koller. She grew up in the Auburndale and Marshfield area and married
Donald J. Fahey on Aug. 30, 1944, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield.
He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1979.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 6, at Our
Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Eric Berns will preside.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take
place at a later date.
Bette had spent most of her adult life in the Edgar area before returning to
Marshfield, and having spent the last 3+ years at Stoney River Memory Care.
Bette was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Edgar before returning to
Marshfield, where she then joined Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Bette is survived by her five children, Thomas (Mary) Fahey, Tomahawk, Michael
(Mary) Fahey, Weston, Mary Lynn (Kenneth) Hoernke, Tomahawk, Ann (John)
Napierala, Rib Falls, and Jean (Mark) Fonferek, Marshfield. She is also survived
by 15 grandchildren, Janet (Matt) Bauman, Julie (Tony Bong) Fahey, Jim (Tammy)
Fahey, Don (Jenna) Fahey, Mary Lou (Brad) Zettler, Joe (Jenny) Fahey, Mark
(Erin) Fahey, Tammy (Mark) Swinford, Clinton (Amanda) Napierala, Betty Ann
(James) Cracraft, Wesley (Tia) Napierala, Kelly (Justin) Gilchrist, Bryan
(Julie) Fonferek, 31 great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandson. She is
further survived by a sister-in-law, Connie Koller, Denver, Colo.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and two grandchildren, Tim
Hoernke and Joseph Fahey; three sisters, Florence Esp, Mary Koller and Rita
Heinzen; two brothers, Norbert and Richard Koller; and two brothers and two
sisters in infancy.
Memorials can be designated to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield.
The family would like to extend a thank you to AseraCare Hospice and the staff
at Stoney River Memory Care for the care and compassion their mother received
over the past three years.
