Theirl, Ann A. (Hayward) (26 MAY 1922 - 6 MAR 2018)

Ann A. Theirl, 95 of Oakdale, MN, formerly of Stanley died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at home. She was born Leanna Agnes Hayward on May 26, 1922 in Hillsboro, Wisconsin the daughter of the late James L. and Mary (Moote) Hayward.

Ann was raised in the Stanley area and graduated from Stanley High. She married Edward
C. Theirl on June 17, 1947.

Ann worked for Thorp Finance for a time and then she and Ed co-owned Plombon Furniture Store-Stanley for many years. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, shopping and visiting with family and friends. Ann was active and supportive of many worthy causes dear to her heart, including the Catholic Church and Native American Rights. She also found time for wine coolers and fun
trips to the casino.

She is survived by her children, Pamela (Thomas) Harnisch of Neillsville, WI., Terry Cattanach of St. Paul, MN., James (Barbara) Theirl of Burnsville, MN., Todd (Karen) Theirl of Stanley, WI., and Scott (Jill) Theirl of West Lakeland, MN., 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, and her sister, Genevieve Theirl.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Meadows Assisted Living for the wonderful care they provided on a daily basis for the last three plus years. They also would like to thank Fairview Hospice Group for the comfort they provided the last week of their Mother’s life.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stanley, Wisconsin with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Plombon Funeral Service-Stanley assisted the family with arrangements.
