Bach, Irvin Joseph (26 JUN 1927 - 6 MAR 2018)

Irvin Joseph Bach, age 90, of Dorchester, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Living under the tender care of hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 with a Rosary Service at 3:30 p.m. at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Irvin was born June 26, 1927, the son of Matthias and Hedwig (Kronfuss) Bach in Medford. He was united in marriage to Marlene Weix on August 16, 1956 in Abbotsford. Together they farmed in the Town of Mayville.

Irvin enjoyed farming, hunting in Canada, fishing in Alaska, traveling, wintering in Arizona, woodworking, driving tractors, collecting antique cars and tractors. He loved to spend time visiting his family and friends. Most importantly, Irvin cherished his family.

Irvin is survived by his wife, Marlene of Dorchester; five children: Steven (Linda) Bach of Dorchester, Allen (Denise) Bach of Dorchester, Susan (Dean) Bender of Dorchester, Lori Ann (Michael) Haas of Stetsonville and Carolyn (Larry) Weiler of Abbotsford; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters: Rosemary (Francis) Hohl of Baraboo and Fern (Harold) Laube of Owen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lillian Staab and Viola Lewandowski-Fleegel and three brothers-in-law: Edward Staab, George Lewandowski and Alvin Fleegel.
