Fitzgerald, Ralph Nelson (13 NOV 1949 - 23 FEB 2018)
Ralph Nelson Fitzgerald, age 68, of Spencer, passed away on Friday, February 23,
2018 unexpectedly at his residence.
In accordance with Ralph’s wishes a private celebration of life will be held at
a later time.
Ralph was born in Indiana on November 13, 1949, the son of Russell and Eunice
(Scott) Fitzgerald. He grew up in Indiana on a farm raising cattle and producing
tobacco. He graduated from Patriot High School.
After graduation he worked with his dad at Chicago Bridge and Iron which is how
he met his wife LeAnn. They were united in marriage on May 2, 1969. He served
his country in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971 when he was honorably
discharged. The coupled resided in Rising Sun, IN before moving to Wisconsin in
1973.
His employment included Marshfield Homes, Wilburt Vault Works, Windy Hill,
Weyerhaeuser and retiring from Liberty Recycling Center in 2015. Ralph enjoyed
camping, gardening, canning, car rides to see the country side, hunting and most
of all spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by his wife, LeAnn; his three boys: Ralph (Michelle)
Fitzgerald Jr. of Marshfield, Mike (Jackie) Fitzgerald of Spencer and Joseph
(Sadie) Fitzgerald of Loyal; his sisters Karen (Roger) Boone of Vevay, IN,
Shirre Brandon of Madison, IN and Janet McCreary of Florida; his brother Jerry
(Lois) McCreary of La Follette, TN and his eight grandchildren: Macy, Jordyn,
Brittany, Jasmine, Katelynn, Ashley, Kaylin and Russell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eunice and Russell; his two brothers
Michael and Buster and his sister Priscilla.
His arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home–Spencer.
