Yeager, Lawrence Edwin (25 SEP 1899 - 30 FEB 1969)

Lawrence Edwin Yeager, 69, of Rt. 2, Gilman, died in Medford Monday morning, January 27, 1969.

He was born In the Town of Delmar on Sept. 25, 1899, and in 1922 he married Orpha Carr in Boyd. They farmed in the Boyd area from 1924 until 1934 they then moved to Hannibal, Wis., where they farmed until 1950 He then purchased the feed store at Hannibal, which he operated until 1956 when he retired. Mr. Yeager was a former chairman of the Town of Cleveland and he served on the Taylor County Board.

Survivors are three sons, Earl, Hannibal; Charles, Wisconsin Dells; Lawrence Jr., LaVelle, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Westaby, Stanley; two brothers, Peter and Mike, both of Boyd; two sisters, Mrs. Mike Streit Sr., Stanley, and Miss Luella Yeager, and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, with Father Norbert West officiating. Burial will be in the Hannibal Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Gilman Funeral Home from noon today until the time of the funeral. The Parish Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
