Brunett, Ruth (12 MAY 1926 – 9 FEB 1971)
Mrs. Ruth Brunett, age 44, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, February 9, 1971, at her
home, after an apparent heart attack.
Ruth (Bradle) Brunett was born May 12, 1926 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradle in the
Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.). She attended Reseburg State Graded and
graduated with the class of 1944 from Thorp High School. She then took work at
the Thorp Dairy Process plant, until the time of her marriage to Edward Brunett
on November 25, 1947 at St. Mary's Church in Stanley. They then lived on various
farms in the area. In the summer of 1962 she started work as a nurses aid at
Stanley Victory Hospital. In the late fall of 1967 she leased the Otter Lake
Tavern, until May of 1970, when she operated the Hotel Bar in Stanley, until the
time of her death.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Donald of Minneapolis; two daughters,
Mrs. Fred (Cynthia) Baehr of Stanley, and Barbara at home, also two
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Wilma) Alger, rural Thorp, and Mrs.
John (Edith) Godden of Mansfield, Washington, and several nieces and nephews.
Interment took place at Thorp Funeral Parlors on Friday, February 12, at 2:00
p.m. Burial was made in the east Thorp Cemetery, with Reverend Olson
officiating.
Pallbearers were Chas. Jasinski, Thomas Kuester, Stanley Borowski, Norman H.
Johnson, William Zindler and Roger Plaegering.
