Westcott, Eileen Anne (Kress) (7 MAY 1932 - 12 JAN 2018)

Eileen Anne (Kress) Westcott passed away in Salem, Ore. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the home of her granddaughter, Karen Tutmark, under the loving care of her family and Hospice.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. Father Philip Juza will preside. Interment will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Family and friends are welcome from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born to Joseph and Philomena “Minnie” Kress on May 7, 1932, in Medford. Her siblings are Rosemary (Vince) Wojcik, Mavis (Lueddecke) Wood, Conrad (deceased), Liz (Larry) Emmerich and Judith (Arthur) Paul.

She attended Holy Rosary Grade School and Medford High School, where she graduated as valedictorian in 1950. She attended St. Joseph’s School of Medicine in Marshfield, where she became a lab technician. She worked as a certified nuclear medical technologist at the V.A. Medical Center in Portland, Ore. from 1971-1995. Some of her duties included training students and traveling the country giving seminars.

Eileen married Conrad Keith “Wes” Westcott on June 19, 1954. They had seven children, Connie Kaye, Laura Anne, Jon Michael, Glen David, Daniel Joseph (deceased), Barbara Joan, and Robert Wayne. She raised her family in the Willamette Valley, Ore., since 1967. Eileen was a life-long learner and loved music, baking, gardening, flowers, animals and especially babies. She was a loving grandmother to 15 and great-grandmother to eight.
