Former Teachers and Pupil (Meet -1974)
Miss Marie Frazier, Hillsboro, a former commercial teacher at Black River Falls
and for many years head of the commercial department in the Chicago schools,
served recently as hostess to seven persons, bringing together ex-teacher
friends, and one student.
Mrs. Vivian Peterson Kalsow, Decorah, Ia., had taught phy-ed at Black River
Falls, and both had taught, Mrs. Della Botnen, Neillsville, Miss Anita
Schoengarth, Neillsville, Miss Daphne Beeckler, Granton, and Mrs. Freda Bock,
and Mrs. Victor Cubala, both of Hillsboro, had also taught with the
aforementioned ladies.
Wilbert Kalsow, who has recently been cited for his outstanding work in
education, was also present. Mr. Kalsow, who was called “The Man with Seven
Hats,” has relatives here.
