Heidmann, Floyd E. (18 JAN 1946 - 23 NOV 2017)

Floyd E. Heidmann, 71, Edgar, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 23, 2017, with his loving family by his side.

He was born January 18, 1946 in Wausau, son of the late Earl and Mary (Cooper) Heidmann. On August 17, 1968, he married Margaret “Marge” Chojnowski at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. She survives.

Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany from 1964 - 1967. He was a member of the American Legion Sayer-Drumm Post No. 393, Edgar. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 49 years, Marge Heidmann, Edgar, two children, Steve Heidmann, Edgar and Mike (Tara Flink) Heidmann, Edgar; two grandsons, Reece Heidmann and Dakota Flink; one brother, David (Lu Ann) Heidmann, Wausau; his mother-in-law, Alice Chojnowski, Abbotsford; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Marie; one sister, Gloria Spaeth; and his father-in-law, Sylvester Chojnowski.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion, Edgar and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Edgar. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary M. and Bev M. of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for their exceptional compassionate care for Floyd.
