Volvosek, Diane (Marriage – 31 August 1974)

Miss Diane E. Volovsek became the bride of Edward Klinke, Saturday August 31, at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony performed at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, by the Rev. Micheal Mertens. A reception at the parish Center was followed later by a dance at the American Legion Hall, where music was furnished by Donna Kirn and Mary Anne Lesar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Volovsek, rural Willard, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Klinke, rural Greenwood.

The bride approached the altar in an entrained gown of nylon organza and rosepoint lace styled with lone sleeves, a bateau neckline, and A-Line skirt ending in a cathedral train. A matching organza and Chantilly lace hat covered her head. She carried a colonial bouquet of garden flowers including roses, carnations, mums, baby’s breath, stephanotis, and daisies, as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Pat Klinke, Fond du Lac, was the bride’s honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Rosemary Volovsek, Spencer, and Nancy Volovsek and Shari Volovsek, both of Willard. Their gowns in shades of yellow, blue, lavender, and pale green, respectively, featured a multi-colored butterfly overlay on satin skirts. Princess basket arrangements of flowers matched the bride’s bouquet.

Serving as bestman was Micheal Volovsek, Spencer. Groomsmen were Kip Koeckler and Bob Klinke, Mike Klinke, and Roger Volovsek seated guests.

Helen Horn and Patrice Pakiz were soloists at the wedding.

The newlyweds ae both graduates of Greenwood High School. The new Mrs. Klinke graduated from the VTAE-14 medical assistant program, and is employed as a nuclear medicine assistant at a Marshfield hospital. Her husband is employed by a Neillsville firm. They will live on Rt. 3. Marshfield.
