Bredlau, Alma M.S. (2 AUG 1884 – 27 DEC 1972)

Alma Marie Sophie Bredlau, 88, formerly of Spencer, now Colonial Manor, Wausau, died at 11:15 a.m. December 27, 1972 of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, with burial in Veefkind Cemetery (Sherman Township, Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. Wm. Ruhbusch officiated at the funeral services. The Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.

The former Alma Schult was born on August 2, 1884 in the Town of Scott, Lincoln County, and received her education there.

She was married on June 22, 1912, in Wausau, to Herman Schade. Her second marriage to Fred Bredlau was on May 10, 1925.

Mrs. Bredlau is survived by four sons, Edelhardt Schade, Spencer; Waldemar Schade, Wausau; Herman Schade Jr., Colby; David Bredlau, Marshfield; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Selma Krueger, Wausau; one brother, Mr. Herman Schult, Rt. 1, Merrill.

She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Pallbearers for the funeral were Donald Schade, Bennett Schade, LaVern Schade, Harold Schade, Donald Hoefs, Ronald Wieland. Mrs. Carl Graupner was the organist and the congregation sang "I'm But a Stranger Here" and "Asleep in Jesus! Blessed Sleep."
