Twarowski, Katherine(18 MAY 1890 – 26 SEP 1970)

Katherine Twarowski, 80, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 1970. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel on Tuesday, September 29th at ten a.m. Reverend Joseph Walijewski was celebrant and Reverend Francis Brockman was con-celebrant. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Robert Truckey, Joseph Truckey, Arnold Truckey, Jerome Glowacki, Ted Glowacki Jr., and nephew, Alex Markowski.

Katherine Papierniak was born May 18, 1890 in Haverstraw, New York. On July 13, 1908 she was united in marriage to Louis Twarowski at St. Hedwig's Church. They lived on a farm northwest of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) until their retirement in 1964, when they moved to the city of Thorp. Mrs. Twarowski was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, St. Paul P.R.C.U., and the Polish National Alliance for many years.

Surviving are: one son, John Twarowski of route 2, Thorp; three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Helen) Glowacki of route 2, Thorp; Mrs. Louis (Anna) Truckey and Mrs. William (Stella) Zukowski, both of the city; three brothers, Anthony and Thomas Purnick of Minneapolis, Frank Purnick of Lighthouse, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Przybylski of Thorp; Mrs. Stanley (Ella) Page of Minneapolis; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, on December 8, 1965, one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Anna) Gray, four brothers, John, Joe, Mike, and Stanley Purnick, and one grandson, Thomas Glowacki.
