Daniels, William C. (20 JUN 1892 – 6 SEP 1970)
William Clayton Daniels was born June 20, 1892 in Rudolph, Wisconsin. He was the
son of John Nelson Daniels and Louis LaVaque Daniels.
He lived most of his life in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) In 1939 he moved to
Superior and worked there as dispatcher for the Yellow Cab Co. until his
retirement in 1967. He then moved to Glenwood City, where he lived with his
brother, Howard Daniels.
He died early Sunday morning, September 6, 1970, at Memorial Hospital in
Menomonie, at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 16 days.
He is survived by his brother, Howard Daniels, Glenwood City; two nieces, Agnes,
Mrs. L.A. Garske, also of Glenwood City, and Alice, Mrs. Joseph C. Genone,
Macon, Georgia; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Monday afternoon at the DeCamp Funeral Home in Glenwood
City. The body was taken to the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home in Superior, where
vigil prayers were offered at 8:30 p.m. Monday. Requiem Mass was at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 8, at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior. The
officiating clergyman was Father A. Kress. Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery
in Superior.
