Registration on Labor Day brought an enrollment of 115 students to the local
high school. Further registration on Tuesday and during the past week, brought
the official registration to 121 students.
Class registration: Freshmen 30; Sophomores 36; Juniors 33; Seniors 22.
The new courses add to the high school curriculum prove to be very popular.
Capacity classes are recorded for home economics and chemistry. The home
economics room is now practically completed and daily classes are conducted in
it.
Thirty-five girls have registered for glee club and try-outs for parts have been
conducted by Mr. Oliver. The band is also well underway for the year.
Mr. Werenzenski reports that interesting competition exists between the various
class softball teams. They are now preparing the fall softball tournament.
Regular baseball practice is also well underway.
The various classes have organized and the class officers are as follows:
Freshmen - Marlyn Phaneuf, president; Esther Westphal, vice president; June
Jolivette, secretary and treasurer.
Sophomore - Jack Nickolay, president; Robert Johnson, vice president; Vangel
Bobbe, secretary and treasurer.
Junior - Robert Goldamer, president; Kenneth Schreiber, vice president; Margaret
Dallenbach, secretary and treasurer.
