Kronberg, Antoinetta (12 AUG 1881 – 25 FEB 1970)

Mrs. Antoinetta Kronberg, 88, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, on Wednesday morning, February 25, 1970, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. pm Friday, February 27, at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Benjamin Hartman of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Mrs. John Paff was vocal soloist, with Mrs. Walter Reinke at the organ. Interment was in the family lot of East Thorp Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dean Haas of Chicago, Arthur Hanson of Spencer, Chester Johnson, Adolph Koltis, Kenneth Lindquist and Hugo Roesler, all of Thorp.

Antoinetta Banderob was born August 12, 1881 at New Holstein, Wisconsin, the daughter of Claus and Bertha Banderob, and the fifth in a family of ten children. While still very young, she moved with the family to the town of Worden, where she attended the rural school and grew to young womanhood. On January 12, 1898 she was united in marriage to Mike Kronberg. Until 1918 they lived on a farm in the town of Thorp, then moved to the village, where the family residence has been since that time.

Mrs. Kronberg was preceded in death by her son in 1941, by her husband in 1962, and by her granddaughter, Patricia Raynor (Mrs. Paul Verden) of Los Gatos, California, in 1967.. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pat (Esther) Costello of Thorp, Miss Eva Kronberg of Cumberland, and Mrs. Linda Raynor of Milwaukee; a foster daughter, Mrs. W.E. Vanderhyden Jr. of Thorp; a sister, Mrs. Joe Haas of Stanley, and two great-grandchildren.
