Neillsville American Legion Post 73 honored veterans John Gassen, and Robert Bryan at the Sept. 4 meeting. A large crowd of family and friends enjoyed a delicious potluck meal and the entertainment that followed.

Jeremy Cronin was honored by the Ladies Auxiliary as a special volunteer. His grandmother Chris Patton is a member of the Auxiliary. She brings him with her when she volunteers for various activities. Jeremy helps at the rummage sales and other Legion functions.

Chip Chadwick announced at the meeting he will be doing a monthly newsletter. It will be sent to those who have an email address, and it will be available at the legion meeting or at the Legion for members to pick up.

Post #73 is having a fundraiser. Members will be selling elastic military bracelets, which are adorned with images of the armed forces, monuments, flags, etc. The bracelets will be for sale at a reasonable cost and will be available at the Legion meeting or at the Legion.

The current Legion membership is 132; the PUFL, is 32. The Post needs 210 members for 100-percent participation.

Discussion was held on having the legion Christmas party on a Saturday during the day time. Notification will appear in the newsletter and in The Clark County Press.

The Ladies Auxiliary voted to donate 10 wreaths for the King Cemetery.
