Feuerstein, Nicholas Charles (19 November 1897 – 12 August 1974)

Funeral services are to be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, for a retired pharmacist, Nicholas Charles Feuerstein, 76, of Memorial Home, who died Monday, August 12. The Rev. Joseph Henseler will officiate and burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery, Beloit.

The body of Mr. Feuerstein is to be in state beginning this (Thursday) morning at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited this (Thursday) evening at 8 o’clock. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, all memorials be directed to Memorial Home.

Nicholas C. Feuerstein, the son of Charles A. and Margaret (Arndt) Feuerstein, was born November 19, 1897, in Appleton, and was educated in schools there. He attended Marquette University, graduated from its school of pharmacy, and worked for several Rexall stores in the state before coming to Neillsville in 1946. Mr. Feuerstein, who retired in August of 1973, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and of the Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Association.

Surviving are seven children, Charles Feuerstein of Beloit, Mrs. Herbert (Florence) Hofert of Rockford, Il., Mrs. Wayne (Alice) LaBorde of Fond du Lac, Paul Feuerstein of Phoenix, Az., Mrs. Al (Mary “Ginger”) Von Rotz of Rockford, Il., Frederick Feuerstein of Beloit, and Michael Feuerstein of Burlington, Vt.; one sister, Mrs. Harry (Isabelle) Black of Appleton; one brother, Raymond Feuerstein of Appleton; and 14 grandchildren.
