NHS Class of 1912 (62-Year Reunion - 1974)

The “Class of 12’s” Neillsville High School’s Class of 1912, observed its 62-year anniversary with a breakfast reunion at the home of a class member, Mrs. Julius Rennak, in Neillsville.

Actually, there were 24 graduates in 1912, but they included 12 young men, 12 young women, 12 students from the country and 12 students from the city.

The gathering was a small one. All the male graduates are now deceased. Of the eight remaining female members of the class, three were present for the reunion. In addition to Mrs. Rennak, the former Lulu Richmond, they included Mrs. Elizabeth (Quinnell) Crothers of Neillsville, and Mrs. Esther (Ormond) Welsh of Waunakee.

The reunion was sparked by the presence of Mrs. Welsh, who was in town to attend her sister, Mrs. Jessie Zilisch’s household auction Saturday.

The morning was spent in visiting.
