Tieman, Lois M. (4 SEP 1934 – 10 SEP 2017)

Lois M. Tieman, 83, Loyal, passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, after a gradual decline in health. Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rev. Dan Zimmerman will officiate. Committal services will be held in Butlerville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday at the church in Loyal from 10 a.m. until time of services. The honor of pallbearer will belong to Perry Abel, Chuck Martinson, Jacob Vick and Madeline Vick.

Lois was born on Sept. 4, 1934, in Wakefield, Upper Michigan. After high school she attended Western Union School in Indiana. While working for Western Union in West Bend, she met Jerome “Jerry” Tieman and soon thereafter married him on Aug. 13, 1955. She continued her career progressing from secretary to an executive secretary at Square D, St. Mary’s Hospital, and finally retiring from Froedert Hospital in Wauwatosa in 1996. Lois and Jerry moved from Shorewood to Loyal. Once there they quickly got involved in their local American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary where Lois was once the president of the Ladies Auxiliary. They also enjoyed participating in adult fellowship activities at their home church of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Lois and Jerry enjoyed spending time each summer at their lake cottage on Lake Gogebic in Upper Michigan. They also enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren. Lois had a smile for everyone and will be missed greatly.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jerome, of Loyal; a daughter, Denise (Jeff) Vick of Menominee; three grandchildren: Jacob, Josh and Maddie Vick, all of Menominee; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Douglas; and two brothers: Bill and Richard.
If desired, memorials are being accepted in Lois’ name to Trinity Lutheran Church Restoration of Stained Glass.

Her arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
